An air-to-air heat pump is a type of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system that transfers heat from the outdoor air to the indoor space for heating or cooling. It operates on the principle of extracting heat from one environment and transferring it to another using a refrigeration cycle.

In heating mode, the air-to-air heat pump absorbs heat from the outdoor air and then uses a compressor and a refrigerant to raise the temperature of the extracted heat. The warmed air is then distributed throughout the indoor space to provide heating during colder months. Due to their high efficiency and use of readily available outside air, this system is an eco-friendly alternative to other traditional heating and cooling options.
