Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) is a whole-house ventilation system that both supplies and extracts air throughout a property. Provides fresh filtered air into a building whilst retaining most of the energy that has already been used in heating the building. Heat recovery is an option used in domestic dwellings, and helps to reduce the heating and cooling demands of buildings.

With the significantly improved energy efficiency of buildings, MVHR works perfectly combined with a heat pump.

Lifespan

When properly maintained, the MVHR mechanical unit can last for around 15+ years, whilst the ducting is likely to last the lifetime of the property.
